Orlando, Florida - Craig S. Meddin, President and CEO of the US Postal Solutions, Inc. Companies has been nominated for an Orlando Business Journal 2012 40 Under 40 Award. He was nominated in mid-June and received notice later the same month. In addition to his leadership role within US Postal Solutions, Meddin is currently active in many local civic and religious organizations and has a long history of volunteering in the community. Since becoming President and CEO, Meddin has championed a push for company staff to also support their local community and the company now actively participates in matching staffs’ personal sponsorship for charitable causes and groups. Collectively, US Postal Solutions has donated thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours of volunteer time over the past few years.

Meddin’s involvements include: Civil Service Board Member (City of Orlando: Appointed for 2011); Mayor’s City Academy (City of Orlando: Selected/Completed 2011); Central Orlando Kiwanis Club, 2x President (2010-2011 & 2011 – 2012); Central Orlando Kiwanis (2007 – Present), Vice President; Central Florida Gator Club (2008 – 2010); Young Executive Committee, Citrus Club (Orlando 2011 – Present); Vice President; Tampa Gator Club (2002 – 2006); Apartment Association of Greater Orlando Committee(s) Member; Postal Customer Council (2007 – Present); Business Buddies Member (2007 – Present).

During his two-terms as President of the Central Orlando Kiwanis Club (now in it’s 40th year), Meddin has been able to transform the club’s dues structure, generate surplus cash reserves, create additional social events for members and the greater community, and increase the group’s participation with local charities.

While Central Orlando Kiwanis Club President, Meddin has added volunteering frequency and increased monetary contributions to the following: Ronald McDonald House Charities, Ivey Lane Elementary School Food Pantry, Lake Como Elementary Reading Program, Child and Family Services (through the creation of the Central Orlando Kiwanis Thanks For Thanksgiving Program) by donating hundreds of Thanksgiving turkeys (to less fortunate families who would not otherwise have a meal for the holiday), Radio-Flyer wagons and supplies to local children’s hospitals, built ramps for wheelchair bound children/parents with Center for Independent Living (RAMPAGE), participated/sponsored the Down Syndrome Association’s Buddy Walk and Holiday Party, provided scholarships to local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts (summer camp and annual dues scholarships), the Outlaws Football & Cheerleader Programs (via C.I.T.Y, Inc.) and many other worthwhile organizations.
