Campus snail mail: efficient or problematic?

Once mail reaches Western’s campus it is available to the recipient within two hours, said Judy Magnuson, Western mail processing manager, as long as everything works according to plan.

The mail services department put the mail system at Western together, said Magnuson. It fits the needs of Western, she said.

“Our mail system is a homegrown system,” Magnuson said.

Mailroom ready to move from UC to The Commons

The Commons is being prepared for the arrival of its newest addition: the student mail room.

The mail room, which currently resides in the University Center, is relocating to the downstairs of the Commons as part of the comprehensive renovation in store for the UC, scheduled to begin this summer.

Drew’s Executive Director of Facilities and Special Projects Mike Kopas said that a primary goal of the UC’s renovation is to “maximize student space.”
